Paris Hilton turned herself into police Sunday and taken to the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, CA, following the MTV Movie Awards. TMZ has footage of Hilton leaving for the awards and going home (before she turns herself in). She’ll be in a special needs unit which, according to AP entertainment writer Sandy Cohen, is “reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates.”

British artist Damien Hirst unveiled a human skull made of diamonds and priced at 50 million pounds. ”It shows we are not going to live forever,” Hirst told Reuters. “But it also has a feeling of victory over death.” Pretty profound coming from the guy that brought us pickled quadrupeds. Who is he kidding? This was a gimmic to make money.
